Who this policy covers

This Privacy Policy describes how Pellucid Forecasting (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores, and otherwise processes personal information about users of our Pellucid Forecasting service. In this policy, “you” means the person using Pellucid Forecasting or interacting with us in connection with that product.

This policy is about Pellucid Forecasting the application and service (the Microsoft Excel add-in and the backend we operate to power it)—not about generic “website analytics” as the main subject. We host this document on the web so you, administrators, and app stores have a stable link; limited processing also occurs when you use our public pages (for example, the “Join the Beta” form) solely to support the same product and publisher relationship.

Service description (app submitted for certification)

Pellucid Forecasting is a Microsoft Excel add-in (Office Add-in) that helps startups and small businesses build explainable financial views by analysing transactions and structuring models using drivers (non-financial factors that shape activity) and rates (financial amounts per unit of driver). To provide Pellucid Forecasting, we operate application logic and APIs on infrastructure we control; the add-in reads and writes data in Excel workbooks you choose to use with Pellucid Forecasting.

Personal information and our policies

The following describes our policies regarding users’ personal information in connection with Pellucid Forecasting and related publisher contact channels.

• Workbook and usage-related content. When you use Pellucid Forecasting, we process information from the workbooks and requests you send through the add-in as needed to perform forecasting and analysis features. That may include business and financial data you place in the file, which can include personal information if you include it (for example, in labels, notes, or tables).
• Authentication and identity. If you sign in with Microsoft 365 / Microsoft identity, Microsoft processes authentication under Microsoft’s terms and privacy statements. We receive identifiers and profile elements from Microsoft that we need to operate Pellucid Forecasting for your account, as permitted by your administrator and our app registration.
• Support and access requests. If you email us or use the publisher “Join the Beta” form on pellucidforecasting.com in connection with Pellucid Forecasting, we process the personal information you provide (such as your name and email address) to respond, provide access, and manage our relationship regarding the same app and service.

We use this personal information only to provide and improve Pellucid Forecasting, communicate with you about it, secure our systems, comply with law, and enforce our terms—not for unrelated profiling or advertising.

AI, model training, and secondary use

We do not retain your customer or workbook data from Pellucid Forecasting to train machine learning models. We do not use your data to train generalized models or for purposes unrelated to operating Pellucid Forecasting for you.

Retention, security, and processors

We retain personal information only as long as needed to provide Pellucid Forecasting, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We apply industry-standard technical and organizational measures appropriate to the data we process.

We use service providers (for example, cloud hosting and email delivery) who process personal information on our instructions to run Pellucid Forecasting and related operations. A current list of categories or named vendors is available on request.

International transfers

If personal information is processed in countries other than your own, we take steps consistent with applicable law (such as appropriate contractual safeguards where required).

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information, to object to certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Children

Pellucid Forecasting is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children for the service.
